New Yorkers may choose Communism. In the world’s capital of capitalistic greed!
The winner of the NYC Democratic primary for the next mayor, and thus leading candidate to run the premier city in America is a communist, Zohran Mamdani.
Who ever predicted the symbol of abject capitalist greed, New York City, will now be overseen by a communist. Communists can’t even get elected in Moscow anymore. Come to think of it, Communists are rarely elected by ANYONE, ANYWHERE. Even sharecroppers in India, who are apparently missing the intelligence implied by the college degreed in NYC, have not elected a commie, despite living in abject poverty.
That millions of New Yorkers could be so ignorant of the economic disasters visited on people of Russia, China, Venezuela, and Cuba by Godless communist dicatators that they would voluntarily choose to live under absolute government control, is astounding. A poll says its the COLLEGE EDUCATED who might elect this guy. Possibly they hope to get promoted from their jobs at Goldman Sachs to pick peppers in Poughkeepsie, as happend to the elites the Cultural revolution in China? Only 2 million people died. Can you train an equities trader to pick beans? Does pepper picking ruin your manicure? We may soon find out.
As HL Mencken famously observed, ” Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” The prediction here is that with the elimination of the police department, the imposition of confiscatory taxes on “millionaires” (e.g., people who can afford in an 800 sq ft walkup in Harlem) and other idotic schemes proposed by Mandami, will accerate the downhill luge ride the city has taken in the past few years. His election means the last wealthy people left in the city, and surely of the entire finance industry, will close their NY offices and move to a city still believing in free markets and individual freedoms, like Dallas or Ft Lauderdale. (Beijing would be safer even.) The weather is better, there are no income taxes, Texas has great Mexican food, and the people there are less personally obnoxious. Who needs NYC anyways? With the money they save, expat New Yorkers can afford to move all the culture to the beach or next to Cowboys stadium.
With no rich people to pay the taxes (highest in the nation) who will pay for free housing, medical care, and SNAP debit cards for the illegal immigrants much less citizen addicts and disabled? Lottery tickets?
As a last note, this is surely the merciful end of the political career of Andrew Cuomo. Formerly a popular governor (which in case you didn’t know, is major step up ego wise from Mayor of the Big Rat Turd^), he is now less popular than an unheard of member of the Red brigades. In this, at least, New Yorkers are rejecting a guy responsible for thousands of senior citizen deaths early in the Fauci/Covid pandemic, and accused serial sexual harrasser (11 women).
Maybe it will be hasta la vista, NYC. Sometimes in life you get what you ask for. In this case, its crap.
New Yorkers ready to flip the handle?
^NYC has a MAJOR rat infestation. Millions and millions of rats. Each pooping hundreds of times a day, having sex hourly, and producing yet more millions of rats in a 2 month cycle.
