Can anyone define when it was, and why it was, that we punctuate our spoken sentences with a 2 note upward trill now? We used to end sentences on the same nasal monotone as the rest of our declarative speech.
Now when people end a sentence, its almost like we are asking a question.
Who started this, and how do we end it?
Most people now would say the word “it” 2 notes higher than the word “end”. Its annoying. Like people saying “like” too much. Or starting every sentence with “So”.
I propose that anyone who does this may be squirted in the face with a squirt gun, like when your cat gets on teh kitchen table.
Oh, and we should be able to squirt Rachel Maddow in the face anytime, in the hopes of shutting her up completely. Thank God she is only on once a week now.
