It occurs to me that both Republicans and Democrats have collectively gone insane. Democrats still say Biden is their choice in 2024, despite the fact that he is clearly a corrupt, brain dead zombie. Possibly a coke head. An approval rate in the 30’s. Republicans are hardly better. Trump is the front runner, by a wide margin. Despite over half the country hating his guts, his offensive tweets, and his potential felon status.

Also, lets review important facts. Biden is 80, and would be 85 (!) at the end of his next term. He’s had a brain aneurism. He is currently the walking dead. Trump is 77 now, would be 82 at the end of his second term. And frankly, some of his tweets call into question HIS mental competence.

And what about Diane Feinstein? She is 90 but looks like the last living Civil War veteran. Zombies would run from her in fear, with that shriveled gruesome mug. Still a full voting member of the Senate. When she is not in the hospital. Which is rare.

I believe this is the one unique time when the entire country can come together and approve of an amendment to the constitution. I propose: Age restrictions on elected, appointed, and judicial officials. Let’s say, last time you can run is at the age of 70. At the age of 74, you are OUT of the job. NO exceptions.

We need to get the geezers out of government and off to coddle grandchildren, walk malls, golf, etc. (Note: I am a geezer myself. I have lost 35 yards off of my golf drive, along with problems remembering why I find myself in some rooms. I am not anti geez in general).

I believe that we can achieve this overwhelming consensus because Republicans want to get rid of Biden. And Democrats want to get rid of Trump. Democrats even want to get rid of Feinstein themselves. I believe this proposal would pass in a week in our current congress. And the states would agree. There would be dancing in the streets by partisans of both parties.

And let’s face it, time to go for these old codgers.
